Guest Speaker : Pat Reynolds
From a young age, Pat Reynolds has enjoyed being creative. Growing up on a farm, and spending most of her life in rural areas, has afforded her the opportunity to observe nature. Most of Pat’s work is based on realistic landscapes featuring architecture, flora and fauna. She takes many photographs of her surroundings to use as inspiration. She usually builds her pictures and/or other textiles, and sometimes beads or crystals are added. She strives to be more creatively expressive by combining elements from different sources to create pieces that are truly unique.
Pat is a prize-winning quilter and textile artist who enjoys teaching her techniques for both large and small groups. She also makes large group presentations featuring her work . Pat’s work has also been published in Our Homes magazine ( Spring 2014) and in a coffee table book, The Artists of Haliburton Highlands (2014). She welcomes commissions and is beginning to have pieces in a variety of locations around the world.
